The Perfect Getaway

Our stay at the Brookside Lodge was idyllic. The lodge is nestled right in the woods, with the sounds of the brook as the perfect backdrop. There is a trail right in the back yard running along the brook that leads to a waterfall and another trail along the Lehigh river. While there are other great trails and activities nearby, we didn’t end up driving anywhere the entire time because the place had everything we were looking for right there. The hosts were kind and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Before the weekend was over we were already talking about and planning our next trip back!

What a great property with access to Lehigh gorge and it’s bike trail. The zip-line and tube chute into the sparkling clean pond… just wow. gotta go back when it’s warmer or bring a wetsuit. Great host, loved the ducks… the view of Leslie Run… the only thing that would have made it better is if we stayed longer! Book it, you won’t regret it at all!

We had a great weekend at the Brookside Lodge. The property was absolutely beautiful and relatively close to Jack Frost mountain. It was only a weekend getaway but we managed to ski and hike around the property. Very picturesque. It’s a family owned property so we got to hear all about the history from Major Tom, who was very courteous and helpful. Highly recommend.

We had an incredible long weekend at this very special spot. It has endless activities that can’t be beat…we zip-lined at the pond, fished, hiked, visited the gorgeous waterfall on property, tubed the river, mountain biked, rode ATVs, and did lots of relaxing activities as well…such going for ice cream in town, flying a beautiful kite, building fairy houses and eating s’mores every night! Major Tom was an enormous help providing advice on activities, places to explore, and the kids loved your “tornado” at the fire pit. This location has everything you can imagine to make your stay fun and the cabin is beautiful and well provisioned. Thank you for an incredible escape from reality and for such a special time away with our kids! We hope to be back!

We had a wonderful socially distanced vacation on this beautiful property for a long weekend with our teens and dogs. We hiked, used the canoes, played board games and had a fire at night and the dogs loved swimming in the pond. Great hosts and beautiful cabin.

Overall excellent accommodations, luxurious. The property grounds are well kept and scenic. Decor is perfect for the setting. Crisp and clean linen/towels. You can hear the calming babbling brook from the rooms. Excellent communication with the property manager. Our family was given fresh eggs from the chickens and vegetables from the garden. We used it for breakfast and dinner salad. Location was less than 10 minutes from whitewater rafting. Our family is looking forward to our next visit.
